Who we are

PodSips for Creators is operated by Guidable LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as PodSips. You can reach us at [email protected].

What this policy covers

This policy covers the PodSips for Creators products: the creator dashboard at creators.podsips.com, the PodSips Creator API, and the PodSips For Creators browser extension for Google Chrome. The PodSips listener mobile app has its own privacy policy at podsips.com/privacy.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use PodSips for Creators:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in identifiers when you create a creator account.
  • Data source credentials: when you connect an analytics source, we receive the credentials needed to read it — Spotify for Creators session cookies (through the Chrome extension), YouTube OAuth tokens (through Google sign-in), or podcast RSS feed details. These credentials are stored encrypted.
  • Imported analytics: show-level and episode-level statistics from your connected sources, such as plays, streams, and views.
  • Podcast download events: when you use a PodSips tracking link on your RSS feed, we record each download request, including the listener's IP address, which we use to determine the country and the listening app. IP addresses are anonymized after 90 days.
  • Usage and billing information: requests made with your API keys, and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

The Chrome extension

The PodSips For Creators Chrome extension is a one-time setup bridge for connecting your own Spotify for Creators account to PodSips. When you click Connect, it reads the two Spotify session cookies needed to authorize the connection (sp_dc and sp_key) and sends them once, over an encrypted connection, to the PodSips backend together with the short-lived connection code you entered.

The extension does not store these cookies in your browser's extension storage, does not track your browsing, does not read any other websites' data, and does not run in the background after setup. PodSips stores the received session material encrypted and uses it only on our servers to import your show and episode analytics from Spotify.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the product: showing your analytics in the dashboard, answering your API requests, keeping your data sources in sync, sending account and service emails, billing subscriptions, and diagnosing errors. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How we share information

We share data only with the service providers that run the product: our hosting provider (Railway), our database provider (Supabase), our payment processor (Stripe), and our error-monitoring service (Sentry). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Your listeners' privacy

Listener-facing features are built to avoid exposing individual listeners. Download-event IP addresses are anonymized after 90 days. Listener conversations inside the PodSips app are shown to creators only as de-identified counts and topics — never the text of what an individual listener said, and never any listener identity.

Security

All traffic to and from PodSips uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data source credentials, including Spotify session material and YouTube tokens, are stored encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your creator account is active. If you disconnect a data source, we stop syncing it and delete its stored credentials. If you want your account and its data deleted, email [email protected] and we will delete them within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change meaningfully reduces your privacy, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
